Outside Seating

We have been spending a lot of time talking about furniture in the garden and what we could replace it with.

This weekend we are planning on dining ‘al fresco.  But before we fire up the BBQ and bring out an array of salty snacks and ice-cold drinks, we need to get the garden ready for a season of fun. We have been compiling a list.  So far we have jet washing the patio, moving some tubs and giving the garden fence a quick refresh with our new Royal Exterior Wolf Grey. No rest for the wicked.

In the meantime, here are some fabulous garden ideas taken from ITV’s Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, all using our paints and stains.

We have been spending a lot of time talking about furniture in the garden and what we could replace it with.

At the moment we are really liking the table and bench combination and it is bang on trend this season. It’s simple and stylish and available in plenty of colours ensuring that it will create a wow in any space. We love the black legs with the oak seating.  Fence back drop here is is our Royal Exterior Dove Grey.

You can make the bench and table yourself (if you feel inclined!!).  We really like the use of gabion (metal cages) in this garden.  Simply fill the cages and add a plank of wood or two and viola….an instant garden set (that also happens to be bug friendly!)

The Anthracite fences work really well with the yellow and we love the Jungle Green that follows on into the garden.

Or do you go for a high table with bar stools? The advantage is that the height is the perfect resting place for an elbow or a glass.  We really like this design made out of pallets and painted in Wood Stain and Protect in Warm Grey. It works perfectly against the pergola painted in .Wood Stain and Protect in Whitewash.

For gardens that are small but perfectly formed this fold down table makes the most of the space and looks great too. The walls are painted in Royal Exterior Silver Grey and Midnight Blue.
