Win with Wood Competition Winners

31st Jul 2013

Just part of the 1st prize goodiesFirstly we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that took the time and effort to send pictures in to the competition. It’s always great to see what people have been up to with our woodstains and there have been some very busy and creative people working hard out there!

We had some fantastic entries this year and it has been incredibly hard to choose a winner. A number of judges were called upon to help reach a decision with winners finally being selected.

Win with Wood - Winners 2013The 1st prize was awarded to an entrant that had worked hard to create a fun and attractive playhouse constructed between two trees and raised up on a decked platform. We loved the design and the colour combination they used of Royal Exterior Fuchsia Pink with Royal Exterior Mauveine Purple highlights and trims. The construction was inspired and with untreated balustrades and decking, we thought Elizabeth was the most in need of the 1st prize that includes 8.5 free litres of Royal wood stain. The prize also contains a selection of garden goodies predominantly made of bare wood, so if they have any Royal wood stain left over they can use it to decorate and protect the some of their other prizes.

2nd place went to one of the most beautiful and impressive boutique hotels in Scotland, called the Pool House. They used Wood Protector Sky Grey Blue to decorate and protect their BBQ house using the rest of the product to match in a fascia trim on a nearby lodge, obelisk in the garden and gate leading out to the sea. Their pictures were stunning and they have been awarded a discount voucher of 20% off their next purchase, which they will put to good use on the next project.

It was very hard to choose 3rd place so we decided to award both Matt and Anne joint 3rd prize of 20% discounts. Matt had built a fantastic treehouse for his daughters and his eldest daughter Emily even helped with the decorating. They used a selection of Wood Protector colours including Poppy, Baby Pink, Primrose and Peacock Blue to create a very attractive and fun place for his daughters to play.

Anne used Poppy Wood Protector on her daughter’s playhouse with Royal Exterior Snow on the trims and window frames. This beautiful playhouse looks like an absolute haven to play in and Anne sent in some superb photos of it covered in snow and bathed in sunshine.

A number of runners up have also been awarded 15% discount vouchers to say thank you for sending in their photos.

Keep up the good work and for those of you that missed this competition please send in your pictures to admin@protekproducts.co.uk for automatic entry in to the next one. Details and prize to be announced in the next newsletter!
